- Changed system time affected my town
I have changed my system time yesterday (for pokemon sun to train certain pokemon) but i forgot to change my system time back and i play my ACNL... Today i realised, some of the thing in my town have been rolled back to earlier stage.
Cyrus was awake, but now he fall asleep Able sister(the one who are shy towards people) are no longer wanted to talk to me... Maybe there are even more problem but i haven't discover yet. What i really want to know is will it affect my town progress as well? Like i got the Club LOL guy came by on last few days and i have 6 signature as he requested. I have donated over 20 items to museum(including at least 1 item for each segment). I just donated my first art on yesterday though. But Blathier didn't propose me the project to build a second floor in the museum.

If you made a new additional character, your progress towards friendliness/features with certain NPCs won't be the same as with your mayor character.
Time travel(TT) can't reverse anything you've unlocked already. Edit: Blathers won't recommend the second floor until you talk to him for I BELIEVE 14 days. Some people will tell you it has to be consecutive days, but I know for a fact I missed a day since starting my new game 3 weeks ago, and I've had the museum for 4 days now(+1 for the day when he recommended the project to me). The game considers any one instance of TT backwards as one day, regardless of the amount of days you go back. In a sense, while Animal Crossing uses our calendar for events/seasons/time of day, they will treat May 3rd coming after May 4th as normal. The dates are just a pointer/reference.

I have changed my system time yesterday (for pokemon sun to train certain pokemon) What do you mean? There's pokemon that you can only train at a specific hour?

As for actually EVOLVING them, you have TWELVE HOURS for each form. There's no reason to fiddle with the clock, as it takes literally 10 seconds to start up the game and, say, give it a rare candy (or leave it at almost-leveled-up)

What i want to do is train it and evolve it. So i do both at daytime. Get it?
I don't want to waste 12 hour without it holding the Soothe Bell and holding the stupid stone instead that prevent him from evolving. And I got a life, i don't have whole daytime letting me to play my games. I got work to do. And Espeon can only evolve in daytime. Do you think everyone got time to play with their game anytime they wanted? If you trying to find trouble about how i want to play my game, then perhaps you should go somewhere else cuz I'm not going to entertain this kind of reply anymore.

I've changed my 3ds system time, not time travelling. I think both are different case. The first one are considered cheating while the second one are actually legal but also with some minimal impact.
BTW, I already got the request for building second floor to the museum. So now i only wondering are the Club LOL will open on time and will any other thing got affected. So far i only noticed those villager who you need do certain thing before they will talk to you are get affected and rolled back to earlier stage. Other than that I didn't see any other huge problem yet. Yesterday i was still thinking to restart the entire game(i'm the kind of person who don't like to mess up something). But luckily the impact is still acceptable so far.

rexksvii - not sure I'll help or not, I might well confuse, if so sorry!
I always change time with the system clock - which works for me as I only play acnl. How you change time (system or via Isabelle) is personal choice, both have the same ingame effect. As Houndeath told you, you won't affect anything you have already unlocked. Given you are in the process of getting LOL & the 2nd floor of the museum, personally I would be careful and just play the game forward, daily, at the time it is now until LOL is unlocked & the 2nd floor requested & opened - as said, talk to Blathers for 14 days, days don't have to be consecutive. Be patient over LOL as it takes 8 days of play (possibly, players have reported slightl differences), before it opens (LOL never shows under construction). You have to log in and play those days to unlock LOL & museum shop, a TT jump does not work. Have you seen Shrunk standing by LOL to give the signatures back - you need that to happen first. The system time and your ingame time do not have to be the same, but the game takes the time from the system when it loads, any time difference between them remaining. - eg if your system time says 10am and your ingame time is noon, then that 2 hour difference will always be there. You can manually make the times the same (using a real life clock that shows seconds), but if you do this, it may involve TT within the game, and it isn't necessary to have them in sync. Make sure your game is on the correct date - with respect to the game - (not necessarily the same as real time or system time) - I make a written note of the time & date I last played. If you want to go back to the correct ingame date & this means TT, then if you want to make sure you don't lose villagers, play the game on the time as it is, until a villager asks to move say no (or yes) & then you are safe to move to the correct time. As I said, to be careful and if its not too annoying to do so, I would play the game forward daily, at the date it is set at now, until the time related LOL & museum shop have opened, but I don't think this is necessary either, its just to be careful. Sable & Cyrus - confused somewhat - again as Houndeath says, if you are talking to them with a newly made character you start from the beginning again. If with your Mayor, I think they should stay the same as they were before the inadvertent TT. If not, well keep talking on a daily basis with them. If you are happy with your town layout & villagers, there is definitely no need to restart the game. |

But... you have to change your time for Daylight Savings Time! You can always not play for an hour until the time matches up... e.g. You are changing from 1am to 2am in Spring...There shouldn't be any problem with that. OR you are changing from 2am to 1am so just wait till the clock says 2am again before playing again (or whatever time it is when you play) Generally changing the time within the same 24 hour period doesn't matter... It might mess things up if you played at 5pm then changed the clock back to 2pm and played some more, but I still think without actually changing dates it doesn't really matter.

But... you have to change your time for Daylight Savings Time! 1. that and changing time zones is the only legit reason to change your 3ds clock 2. that only happens in america, AFAIK. 3. To minimize impact, never play during the "same time" twice. In other words, don't play at 2am, then change the clock to 1am on the same day.
