So, I just got home after buying my Switch, and all the other stuff to go with it.
Being a frequent visitor here, obviously I was aware of the warped dock issue. When at the counter I cheekily asked the guy in GAME serving me, if I could check to see if the dock was ok. He didn't mind. The dock was clearly warped inwards, not straight, one bit. He went and grabbed another bundle and opened that one. Yet another box with a defective dock. He opened 8 bundles, every single one was warped. He (very nicely) took one of the docks from a standalone dock package and replaced it in my Splatoon 2 bundle box. The dock was perfectly straight and aligned. Just thought I'd post here in case people think it's a small percentage of docks this is happening to. Simply ask the person serving to allow you to check it before leaving the shop, because I'm glad I did and saved a lot of hassle taking it back. Anyway, I'm now a proud Switch owner :) |

Now THAT is one magical console! Lol. Oh, and don't forget to get a hefty screen protection. Considering there are only a couple of inches space in front and back, you might somehow want to try to put the console in horizontally, figure it it won't fit, jump in and manage to crack your screen. That's been a very common problem since launch on these forums. Lol.

Why even type this bullshit thread? 8 in a row?
First, there's no way an employee is going to open 8 consoles for you. Not going to happen. Second, there's no way 8 systems had the defective docks.if this were true, you would have pictures from your cell phone and probably pics posted on some sort of social media to show how crazy this employee is opening up 8 systems for you and ending up giving you a stand-alone dock just so you get a straight dock. You story is lies.

meh, I put a screen protector on all of my switches... I could care less now if my dock angles in at a 45! "Just force it in there, it's fine!"
Every US Nintendo ever (sans virtual boy)... Xboxes and Playstations too, except, well the Playstations constantly broke, so I stopped buying them.

It's a very common problem that the switch overheats and warps, curving inward on itself. When the sun shines on this curved screen it acts as a lens, focusing it on a point like a magnifying glass frying ants. From there it will easily ignite anything in its path, sending your home up in flames.
I personally have had my house burn down twice this way, although the Nintendrone defense force will try to deny it ever happened. |

I believe it. My friend's friend's uncle owns a gamestop in egypt and they had to open up 10 consoles before they found one that wasn't warped.

My friend's dock isn't warped, but occasionally it will spew flames out of the side. He doesn't mind and just places a cigarette there and whenever it lights up, it's time for a smoke break lol

Yea, deleted the wifi settings, then turned the Switch off n on and it seems to work now I re-inputted the settings. Nothing ever goes smoothly lol.

Man my dock has been fine since launch, zero scratches on my Switch. But I woke up this morning and my galaxy S 7 Active had a bunch of scratches on the screen, fucking dock, such a poor design, it scratches everything.
When are you gonna fix this Nnintendo? Smh...
