1. This isn't even an official announcement. It's a rumour, at best.
2. Even if it was official, the confirmation that Capcom would be supporting the Switch was a day or two ago. Any decisions regarding titles that would be offically stated to not be appearing on the Switch were most likely already set in stone weeks back. Good grief.

This comes after the success of both 4 Ultimate and Generations, which is the best selling game in the franchise outside of Asia by a pretty big margin.
IF XX ever comes westward on Switch, I'll probably buy the console. But until then, eh. Not that it matters. We got screwed on the 3DS too.

So, Capcom recently went on record yesterday that they're gearing up multiple titles for Switch, but folks would rather assume nothing is coming because of a recent German retailer listing one game not coming to Switch......the same day.

Releasing what is the equivalent of an expansion to a successful game in only one territory, where it had great sales in another territory as well, is just stupid.

But it's not MH5. It's MHW. Capcom actually has a numbering convention for the series. Er...have you noticed that a lot...and I mean a lot of Switch titles have been announced seperately that their console counterparts? This is not an irregular thing.
I think one of Nintendo's many mandates is that cross platform Switch titles get their own announcement.

As a Switch owner, I am kind of inclined to agree with you. Gonna still hold on my Switch though and see where this console goes, in terms of game support.This isn't even an official announcement.
