here ill dump all the info right now
-its the same f***ing game as sm but gamefreak is too smart to not profit off of nintenyearolds during an off year -tutors and a legendary dump are added for the few people who buy it for the right reason -random mons get new forms to make people who only bought sm feel inadequate -random minigames and postgame quests are slapped on to make this a 10/10 for forum dwellers 4 years from now

I don't understand what you expect.... this is the equivalent of a third version, meaning minimal information to give about the game. To be fair, a lot of new Stuff was revealed between Platinum's reveal and release.

This. ...Ironically, it hasn't been since BW2 that we've seen a news/new feature drought as long as this one, and even then, USUM is quickly eclipsing it in that regard.

Platinum had a lot of new stuff relative to the emptiness of DP. the story change up, the first forme change ever, also the first time new pokemon were introduced to an area AND to a regional dex in the same generation. aka USM probably doesnt have much new at all lol

It took almost 3 months to get any info for SM other than the titles/logos. In the 4 months between the reveal of XY in January 2013 to the first info dump in May 2013, we got 1 new Pokemon (Sylveon) and one new form (M-Mewtwo Y). It's only been 2 months since USM was revealed. It's not the longest info drought, not even close. If you're talking about which game cut it the closest getting info before launch, BW2 got its first info 2 months before launch, and we're still 3 months from launch of USM. We have a month to go before starting to "eclipse" BW2 in that regard.

Source: a 4Chan User that has done the math for me. Can't take the credit here. Post was made on 7/27, and we did get that Duskroc reveal, so it is pretty much 40% now-- same as BW2's dry spell. We'll (probably) get something substantial during Worlds, though, so perhaps they won't be mum much longer. Also might be worth mentioning that USUM doesn't have nearly as much time to convince consumers as games that kickoff a Gen do (and have). I suppose the release dumps of the last few games really spoiled us at the end of the day, though. They spoiled the living crap out of ORAS and SM; almost nothing was left to find out on our own. It's pretty much second place in the grand scheme, and Platinum (the last "third game" we've had), for another comparison, did have a steadier info dump than USUM currently has. Even Serebii commented that he felt they announced USUM too early. Not that his say so really means much these days, but there it is.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying it'll ever be too late for GF to bust out some REALLY good info for USUM. They're being directed by the same guy behind BW2, right?

So when you people argue in favor of DLC you mostly mean in relation to move tutors and the like, instead of Game Freak expanding upon a generation one way or another via a later game(s)? You'd rather have that available to you in the games you already own (SM in this case) via free/cheap DLC than have to spend an additional $40 for one or two features/Pokemon you want?

to be fair the fact this extremely happy merchant practice still exists is because of idiots buying the same game at least twice per gen (except for xy oras)
so it isnt gfreak fault it is the stupid fanbase fault for proving how dumb they are and how easy distracting them with a shiny word in the official art really is not gf if anyother non ea company nobody would support something like this lul
